2011 Registration

Registration and Packet Pick up on 9/17/2011 at Romeo Community Center from 9:00 until Noon on 9/18/2011 at 6:45 parking lot in front of bus barn and track of Richmond High School. On 32 Mile Road directly south of the Gateway Trailhead Trail Park.

Race day parking in Richmond – Half Marathon Runners will park at Richmond High School or downtown City of Richmond and be bused to the start line in Romeo Area. Look for the large white tent for check in and Late Registration starting at 6:45 a.m. 5K race will start AT 9 AM in Richmond and end in Richmond – 5K Do not get on buses!

Charity Support – Runners who would like to Support the Macomb Food Program are asked to bring canned goods to packet pickup on 9/18 or race morning to the finish line area in Richmond.  Those who would like to gift medals to the Medals4Mettle program can also bring their Half Marathon, Marathon, Triathlon or Ultra medals on either day as well  Your Support is Greatly Appreciated.

Please remember to ensure your chip is removed from your shoe at the finish line area.  Refr eshments and entertainment will be available for all runners at the finish line area.

Half Marathon Specific Instructions

Transportation to the start line – Buses will run from the finish line area starting at 7:00 AM.  The last bus leaves at 7:30 PM Sharp.  All runners need to ensure they are on time.

Start line area – The start line area is now at Crystal Diamonds in Romeo off 33 Mile Road.  Please note that the race will have a tent set up for runners to relax under prior to the race (there are no indoor facilities at Crystal Diamonds).

Race Start Time is 8:30 AM

This is a chipped time event so remember to attach your chip to your shoe prior to the race start.

Porta Potties will be available at the start line area (note; there is no indoor facilities at the start line).

Bag Drop at the Start Line – Runners will have the opportunity to use a drop bag at the start for items that they do not want to take with them on the course.  Runners will need to properly mark the bags with your bib number - we will provide labels.  Please note that the race, sponsors or volunteers are not responsible for items that may be lost during this process and we suggest you do not use this for wallets, keys, iPods, cell phones etc.  You will find your bags at the finish line area.

There is NO return bus service back to the start line area after the race. If you plan to park or get dropped off use the Court Building next to the baseball field.  Please plan accordingly if you are dropped off at the start line in the morning.

Water Stations – there will be 8 water stations.  They will be approximately at miles 1.5, 3, 4.25, 5.5, 7, 8.5, 10.5, 12.25.

Porta Potties on the course will be available at Fulton Street in Armada Village and runners will be able to use the fixed vault toilet on Armada Ridge near 33 Mile.

5k Specific Instructions

The 5k race will begin at 9:00AM. Runners need to gather in the Gateway Pavilion in Richmond. There is a different course than last year taking streets and eventually getting on the trail and finishing at the Gateway Pavilion.  Runners please Do Not get on a bus race morning.

RACE START IS 9 AM

Water will be on the trail at the 12 mile mark for the half marathon runners.  So approximately 1.2 miles from the start.
