Medals4Mettle

Medals4Mettle is a non-profit organization founded in 2005. It facilitates the gifting of marathon, half marathon, and triathlon finishers’ medals from runners to children and adults dealing with chronic or debilitating illnesses and have demonstrated similar mettle, or courage in bravely facing these challenges. Our nationwide network of physicians and volunteers award these medals (with a Medals4Mettle ribbon attached) to those who might not be able to run a race, but are in a race of their own to continue to live their life.  Do you want to help while you participate in the Romeo2Richmond Half Marathon?  Please bring any medals you wish to donate with you when you attend the race expo and packet pickup.  You can also donate your earned medal from running the race at the finishers area.  We will be around all weekend to say hi and talk with you about the program.  All medals collected over the weekend will be passed out in the Detroit area.  For more information, please visit www.Medals4Mettle.org or contact Joe Burns at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
